A Greek – Swiss by nationality. A humanitarian aid worker by profession. A writer and reader by passion. A Berliner by choice.

I was born in Athens, Greece in the 70s to a Swiss-German mother and a Greek father. Loving my bilingual and multi-cultural environment, I eventually also learned to deal with the question of whether I like more Greece or Switzerland and set off to discover the world at the age of 17. Thanks to my studies in London – a brand new at the time 4-years BA in “European Studies” with an integrated year abroad – I got to know Berlin and fell in love with it. Eventually I moved to the new European capital but through my work I was travelling the world unable and unwilling to settle down in it. Privileged to have toured, worked and lived in five of the six continents of this world (Antarctica is on the bucket list), I have come to realise that the true home is within oneself. And that is when the journey truly begins…
